October 22, 2020: Encounter the Beauty Fundraiser

Event begins at 6 PM MT

Dear Creatio friends, supporters, and patrons,

We believe beauty is the best way to lead young adults to Christ and The Church. We do that through mission trips, outdoor adventure, and care for creation. We need your help to sustain that mission.

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on us. We have cancelled all international trips for 2020 and shifted our model to offering low or no-cost domestic trips to those who may not be able to otherwise afford them. This has enabled us to reach a new demographic of Non-Catholics and Catholics alike, being their first step into a life of faith in Christ and His Church. We are reaching as many young adults as ever, even in the midst of a pandemic, with over 120 participants registered since May 31st.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 through this virtual gala to make our mission sustainable throughout the pandemic. Please consider sponsoring or donating. With your help, we will continue to guide young adults to encounter the beauty of creation and the Creator well into the future! Thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely in Christ,

Adam Henrichs – Executive Director, Creatio

Creatio honors our patron, John Paul the Great by hosting our gala on his feast day, October 22nd. John Paul II’s visit to Denver for World Youth Day in 1993 no doubt has left a mark on the world and has inspired Creatio’s mission of leading all to encounter the beauty of the Creator in the great outdoors.

Creatio was founded in 2007 to respond to St. John Paul II’s commission, to “make the Gospel incarnate in different cultures.” We make the Gospel incarnate in the culture of today’s young people. As the patron saint of young people, JPII deeply understood the heart of the problem of the world’s youth today. He knew that rooting young people in Christ would make them good parents, spouses, business leaders, and citizens of the world because they know that they are ultimately citizens of Heaven.

The fastest growing religion in the US is “unaffiliated” and the issue of the 21st century is the difficulty of reaching young adults in a language they understand. When they come to the mountains or on an adventure mission experience seeking fulfillment and authenticity, Creatio meets them there offering a game-changing invitation in their language of adventure. We are following John Paul II’s pioneer combination of adventure and faith, through offering affordable adventure opportunities to young adults of all levels of experience.

Our Mission

What We Do

To guide all people to encounter the beauty of creation and the Creator through service to the poor, mission trips, outdoor adventure and care for creation.

Our Vision

For the Future

Through these experiences, we work to create an environment of encounter – encounter with God, with ourselves, with others, and with creation. Creatio members are volunteers, professionals, and friends working to address environmental and human issues on a deeper level. Our goal is to facilitate an active transformation of ourselves and others, as well as the environment.
