About This Retreat
This Friday – Monday retreat will take place in some of the most beautiful country in Colorado: the San Juan Mountains. Come prepared for solitude, formation, and adventure! The Sisters of Life will lead talks on prayer and the spiritual life, Creatio leaders will guide outdoor excursions on nearby trails, and each day will be highlighted with mass and the opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration.
We are being hosted by the Saint Paul Lodge & Hut in Silverton, CO. The lodge is nestled in the San Juan Mountains, between Silverton and Ouray, known as the “Little Switzerland” of the USA. This location boasts amazing views of the mountains and countless opportunities for exploring new trails and peace within nature.
Young adults 21 and older are invited, and carpooling is available from Denver.
Sisters of Life
Join Creatio and the Sisters of Life for a weekend of prayer, reflection, and encounter with God the Creator in the beauty of creation! The Sisters will be leading the three days filled with moments of prayer, hiking and solitude in the wilderness, while growing in community with other young adults.
The Sisters of Life were founded by Cardinal O’Connor in 1991 in the Archdiocese of New York. Their charism is to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life. The sisters see every person as a unique and unrepeatable gift and work to build up a culture of life. Their hope is to be a light in the culture and instill a sense of dignity to each person they encounter. Creatio is thrilled to have the Sisters of Life lead this retreat.
Traveling from Out-of-State?
If you are joining us from out-of-state, please aim to arrive in Denver during the morning of July 19th. There is a light-rail for $9 that will take you from the airport (DEN) to Downtown Denver (approximately a 45 minute ride), and from there we can help you find a ride to the retreat center with other participants.
When looking at return flights, please book flights departing at or after 8pm on July 22nd. Although the retreat ends at 11am, you will need time to get back to metro Denver, out to the airport, and through security.
Please contact us if you have any questions related to travel.
